I would also try to kitten proof either a room or a certain area in your home where Caramella would be staying while you were gone. As you know I still have 2 little ones who just turned 6 months old on Sat. I've been letting them have the run of my condo for quite some time now but they aren't allowed in either bedroom. I've also had to hide toilet paper,napkins,kleenex, and I've even had to put the trash can in the second bedroom for now. When I leave for work Storm, Pearl, and Sky will usually stay in my bedroom and Ziggy will stay out in the main area with Alani and Blaze. It's worked out very well so far. I've always kept plastic bags, twist ties, rubber bands etc. hidden away and I just try to act like I'm living with toddlers so I just try to baby proof my home.
