Am I the only one who finds it funny that so many people are saying "monkey" as their answer; when monkeys are humans closest relative?
This thought went through my head as well!

Possums can look like very large rats -- especially in the dark! (Which is when you usually see them!) And if you have ever seen them bare their teeth....

Sometimes fear and the perception of "ugly" aren't far apart!
