A little late, maybe, as it's coming on full Autumn now, but seconded all above. A wading pool is a great way for your dog to keep cool (and clean!) in the hot weather. But let me hit this pretty hard: it is vital that you empty and refill the pool every day. Your dog, quite naturally, is going to be drinking this water as well as splashing in it, and warm or lukewarm still water is a perfect growth medium for all kinds of nasty bacteria and protozoa that you don't want your dog ingesting.
