Completely horrible. He should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law for animal cruelty, and everyone who saw it should sue him for psychological damages, too.

Outrageous, indeed! Its been a while since a news story has irritated me as much as this one.

The prosecutor certainly isn't helping the community be a safer place if he's letting an incompetent drunk walk away without charges. If the prosecutor truly thinks this is the way the case should end, there's no telling what others will be able to get away with.

Thanks for leaving the contact info.

    I'm a bit confused here.
The article said that witnesses saw the man climb over a fence and attack the deer.
But the man claims self defence ??? And the Prosecuter believes a drunk man.
So what about the witnesses ???? They don't matter ????
    Sheesh........maybe that Prosecuter doesn't deserve a job.

The prosecutors job is to prosecute. The police's job is to investigate the crime and bring to the prosecutor all the facts to get a conviction. If, and I did not read the story, the prosecutor felt there wasn't enough to go on to get a conviction, that isn't the prosecutor,s problem.

    Different jobs and functions.
