Arrow My puppy female lab lost her appetite for food :(((

I have a 7.5 month old female Labrador and for the last week now she lost her appetite for food. This is very unusual since whenever I even mentioned the word "food" she would dash and wait for it and gobbled it up in less than a min ...

For the last couple of days now I have to run after her and practically beg her to eat... Oh this only happens with her dry food which I 've been feeding her since I brought her home when she was 2 months old ...

Other than that if she sees me eating anything she ll come drooling for it but I try not to give her anything else other than her dry food cause I don't want her to get a habit ...

Given the fact that she hasn't had her heat yet I wonder if this is a possible sign of her first upcoming heat or if she is simply bored of her food taste which is Chicken for puppies dry food (the brand name Science Plan). I bought her another taste but still she won't touch the food...

Other than the food she is still acting as a normal Labrador )) Very hyper and very active... so I eliminate the possibility of her being ill... Still if I see this food behavior continuing I must see the vet I guess...

    Any advice here?

Dogs don't get "bored" about food, they aren't like people. Have you tried softening it with a bit of broth so it smells more tempting? Is she otherwise pooping normally, etc?

Did you put something on her food right before she stopped wanting to eat it? If so, she may be "holding out for something better" I know when we added chicken or beef to Sunny's food, she wouldn't eat her plain without it. A friend of mine just told me that her dog turned his nose up to his food because she added the yogurt she always does but she bought plain instead of vanilla by accident. If she is willing to eat treats and appears healthy otherwise, I'd consider that a real possibility. (did someone else feed her right before this started?) Obviously, if she is throwing up or not pooping, you have to worry about a bowel obstruction and then a vet visit ASAP.
