Welcome to Pet Talk Leo and welcome to a new loving family! I agree with that poem. It takes nothing away from the furkid you lost. You still love them, you still miss them, it still hurts. Having a new furkid to love, helps to heal your broken heart.

Thanks everyone! Leo has settled into our family so well and is helping to mend our hearts.

I thought he may have a little Bichon in him too, Pomtzu, but not knowing any bichons except on PT I am no expert I intend to take to be groomed, especially around the face, as soon as I have asked around to find a good and kind one in my area.

Well, I am off to take him for a walk now... hew is very enegetic and it takes a lot to tire him out! He just loves having a great big grassy yard to to go "zoomies" in though; it is fun just watching him chasing around with his ears flying backwards!

Congratulations! I am so glad you found Leo, and I really hope you guys are happy with him, you did a wonderful thing in adopting him. This story reminds me of Mikey's a bit. He definitely has poodle, but I can see Bichon in the fur and the ears.

Hello, Leo! It is very nice to meet you today! I agree with Pomtzu- whatever your ancestors were, you are 100 percent adorable! And also with Grace- a wish for a wonderful life together!

Thanks everyone! Leo went to meet the Vet this morning and got up to date on his shots. Brian, the vet, says he is a very healthy and happy little dog. He says he thinks Leo is a poodle but a chunky (not fat) north American style not tiny boned like Fifi. He barked at two other dogs in the waiting room, a retriever and a yorkshire terrier but wisely left the resident cat alone! We have signed him up for obedience classes starting soon as he obviously has not been socialised well and sometimes thinks he is "in charge"; this will change LOL!

We went from the Vet's to the town hall and registered him as our dog so now he has two new tags to tinkle on his brand new collar.

Right now he is curled up snug next to John sleeping off his inoculations but I expect he will soon have his"bounce" back!
