Thanks for the welcome, folks. I have an album with some pics of Barney at various stages. We brought home a 7 lb puppy. He's now 4 months old and 25 lb. I also have a pic of Spot, my happy old cat. I'll get pics of the rest up eventually.

Just be patient with Barney and the cats. I got my puppy when she was 9weeks old and my cats were 7 and 9. No, they weren't thrilled and I doubt if I will ever see them grooming her (haha....I have seen pics of dogs and cats like that but not my 3) but my now 12 year old cat and 2 1/2 year old dog can lay together in bed or on the couch and my 9 year old cat will lay with the dog on the couch if he is tired enough They still have no desire to play with her, even as she tries to play bow to them. Luckily, she has dog friends she can play with.
