Mary, my heart would have been pounding in my ears if I heard a conversation in my home in the middle of the night! Oh my, you must have been worried! Glad it was "only" the TV. Both times!

I notice no one has asked WHY you have a sword? WHY you had 3 of them?

My last microwave oven took to turning itself on now and then. THAT was worrisome, unplugged it and bought a new one lickety split.

I had an old refrigerator that did that, the first model ever invented by GE. I unplugged it and it still ran. That really freaked out a friend of mine. That was, oh, 13 years ago or so and she still talks about it.
    Blessings,
    Mary

Now this would really scare me if I unplugged something and it still worked. Are you sure that there aren't any ghosts living with you?

Got so busy this morning that I forgot to post this: I watch TV in bed just until my eyes become fatigued, which is fairly quickly. I went upstairs to turn down the bed and I turned on the TV and put the remote on my dresser. Instantly, the TV turned off. (The other 2 times it was the other way around.) Then it turned on again by itself, then off, then on, then off, etc. It did this in rapid fire and I just stood there and watched. (No cats in sight to blame in on.) This went on for a good 10 seconds or so. So that's 3 separate TV's now that there are hinky things going on. Maybe I do have a spook!
    Blessings,
    Mary

Could it maybe be the batteries in your remotes? Sounds SPOOKY to me. Have you checked under the bed for any intruders. I use to do that all the time when I was a kid & sometimes even now. You never know what could be lurking under your bed & even the closet.

Oh dear.....it's getting closer.......already in your bedroom.
If you wake at exactly 3am, and the clock stops.........run...
