It's heartbreaking, hearing of your former life, how neglected you were, never knowing the joy of flight, of human interaction, a loving touch. But those sad and lonely days are but a distant memory now, Rainbow. And while you may no longer be able to fly due to the neglect you suffered, you surely can "spread your wings" now sweet Rainbow, literally and figuratively!
I had tears in my eyes, reading how Sheba cried out for you after you two were separated. God bless your dear family for rescuing you and her both; for your Mom's, your special person's amazing dedication in helping you to acclimate to your new life. What an amazing bond of love and trust you two have forged; you have truly found you soul mate in her! As she says, it's amazing how far some time, patience, persistence and a whole lot of unconditional love can go in helping an animal to heal, to learn to love and trust again!
