To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven.
Ecclesiastes 3:1The clock of life is wound but once and no man has the power
To know just when the hands will stop - on what day, or what hour.
Now is the only time you have, so live it with a will -
Don't wait until tomorrow - the hands may then be still.

I don't know people are pretty dumb. If teachers are sad about this they need to stop passing the kids on to a higher grade so that we don't have 16 year olds that can't read.
Call the parents in and make them responsible for their idiot off spring.
If a 16 year old can't read how does the parent not know?
I remember a man saying to me that his grandson graduated and couldn't read, he was so upset.Well duh didn't mom and dad notice? Guess not.
Parents need to be made accountable for their kids and teachers need to start calling parents and letting them know that junior is not too bright.
Funny stuff.
But absolutely NOT questions on the GED. I've spent the last few months helping a friend study for the GED and take the practice tests, and there are no questions on there even remotely in this format. Come on ... "Name the four seasons?" on a high school equivalency test? Maybe first grade.
I've seen quite a few of these before, in various joke emails.
"We give dogs the time we can spare, the space we can spare and the love we can spare. And in return, dogs give us their all. It's the best deal man has ever made" - M. Facklam
"We are raised to honor all the wrong explorers and discoverers - thieves planting flags, murderers carrying crosses. Let us at last praise the colonizers of dreams."- P.S. Beagle
"All that is gold does not glitter, Not all those who wander are lost; The old that is strong does not wither, Deep roots are not reached by the frost. From the ashes a fire shall be woken, A light from the shadows shall spring; Renewed shall be blade that was broken, The crownless again shall be king." - J.R.R. Tolkien
No child left behind is the theory today. They pass them even though they can't read or write. There are special federal & state programs that can test these kids with the parents permission. Sometimes they have learning disabilities & need one on one experience. Sometimes the parents won't allow them to be tested & think there is nothing wrong when there is something wrong. They feel their child will be labeled if they are put into a special needs program. Maybe the parents are just as frustrated as the teachers & school system are with their child. The teachers spend more time with behavior problems in the classroom so that takes away the time to learn the 3 r's. There are some people that never learn to read my grandmother & a cousin never learned to read. It can be an brain to eye disability. My cousin is very intelligent & hearing things read to him he learns that way & his area of strength is math. He has done very well for himself in life.![]()
