I have always been afraid of organized religion. You get one crazy to convince gullable people to follow his rules and beliefs and mayham is not far away.

Any religion you look at will have odd beliefs that you shake your head at and go
What??????
My relationship with God is private. I don't let some priest, vicor, pastor, brother, father, minister, rabbi tell me what I should believe or what I should do.
I can read the bible on my own and choose to believe or not believe whatever I wish.
I don't need a priest to tell me I am forgiven (how the heck does he know?)
I don't need someone telling me that a gay friend will go to hell, how dare they?
Or that a women cannot divorce her cheating, beating, drinking non working a$$ of a husbend, come on what is that all about?
All of these rules are made up by the church for two reasons and two reasons only that I can think of and that I have seen in my lifetime and that is

1) To control your life and thoughts
2) To get money from you

Everytime you go to a church they have their hand out for money. Just once I would like a sermon to say.
WE DON'T WANT ANY MONEY FROM YOU TODAY.
Please give it to a homeless shelter instead or to your favorite charity as a gift this week.
How about that?
