    No, this is not informative.

Of course fruits contain several types of vitamins, minerals and antioxidants. But the rest of the reasoning (in particular about digestion) is just bla-bla that seems to be scientific but is not. Until it is not scientifically proven, no one can say it is true. Anyone can argue anything and sign "Dr x", so what?

There's no such thing as some fruits, like orange and lemon are acidic, because all fruit becomes alkaline in our body, according to Dr. Herbert Shelton who did research on this matter.
    BUNK!

Foods are broken down into simpler compounds in the digestive system.

    By what?

    Acids.

Chemical impossibility for an acid to become alkili all by itself (especially when reacting with other acids)

The "cold water after meals=cancer", is the one that got me laughing. It will solidify the oily food that was just eaten??? Think about it....just how long would that cold liquid have to stay cold for something even remotely close to this to happen, even if it were at all possible??? Obviously, cold liquid starts to warm as soon as it's consumed.

ETA - oranges or grapefruit on an empty stomach???? Don't try to convince an ulcer patient of that. High acid anything is the worst thing possible to consume if you have/had an ulcer, and for most (ulcer) people who consumed acid foods of any kind on an empty stomach - well, they would more than likely be in terrible pain. Might as well drink battery acid or Drano.......

Although some of that is obviously not true, it is true that you should eat fruit!! Its gotta be one of best foods to eat without feeling tired... you feel so refreshed and energetic afterwards. Luckily I LOVE fruit... now, vegetables, that's a different story....

When I read this yesterday morning, I thought that the info sounded way off. I've never had any problems with eating fruit after my meal and I'll continue to do it too.
