    Dogs and Cats each have their own sites, DogoftheDay.com and CatoftheDay.com. When we started the site in September 1997, we featured everyone on pet of the Day, but the dogs and cats outnumbered everyone else, so they got their own sites, beginning September 1998, a year later.

    If you look at the top of this page, you'll see a dog icon and a cat icon. And on the Pet of the Day page, icons are on the left side, linking to each day's new honoree!
