Even after Tillman and NAMA base, McChrystal was Barry's choice to run the war in the Afghan sandbox. And Barry and the left wing loonies, sorry, Obama and the progressives get out the tar and feathers when McChrystal disses the French and says that Barry was intimidated by high ranking military officials? I agree with Puck, McChrystal knew what he was doing when he allowed the RS hack to follow him and his staff around. The only way Barry would have heard about it faster is if it was published in GOLF magazine.

Nobody is denying that McChrystal shouldnt have resigned his post for making his feelings known about how his CiC is handling the war, but do we really want him replaced by a guy who feinted during congressional questioning?

Tillman was killed by friendly fire. How many of our and our allies troops have been killed by progressive RoE? Like Barry and the left wing loo.... sorry, Obama and the progressives know anything about honor.

If McC fell on his sword, it was purely accidental. You can't walk right
with your foot in your mouth.

So funny!!! And so true. His foot in his mouth and his arms so busy patting himself on the back. I am sure the noses of his sycophants so far up his behind didn't help his balance either....

Although Liz...I must say you are far more trusting than I....

For what it's worth, here is an opinion piece by David Brooks about General McChrystal, and the current atmosphere in D.C.

Seems to say it's the Reporter's fault that this turned into a big deal.
Sorry, McC should have know better. To utter the slams with a room full
of beer drinking buddies ,and a civilian Reporter, was a serious lapse in judgement.

He HAD to know better. This could not be a lapse in judgement.... It was a calculated move. A General does not become a General by making "should have known better" mistakes like this. I mean, seriously, Rolling Stone?

The interesting part is the WHY?

Gen. Petraeus to, probably, modify the RoE.

Lets hope this is true. Its a good start. Trust the boys to do what they do best.

And like I said.... Stupid strict RoE kills.

It was probably Petraeus's chest full of metals that weighted him down.

All the "hardware" that the Gen wears is well earned.

He is not a Third World AH toy soldier that issues himself citations and medals.

At the least? He should be shown respect for his 'fruit salad' and hardware- each and every little pin/flag represents a story about what he has done to make the grade during his career.

Hey, I'm a big fan of Petraeus. Was just responding to comment from
Blue about trusting a man who fainted while waiting to give testimony
before Congress. I think the guy is an amazing man. America is lucky to
have him. Check out what he did two days after chest surgery......

He is a "thinking man's" soldier.

Chuck Norris would have done HIS OWN surgery.

Forgot to give the link on Petraeus.

And to think he might not have been alive if this soldier's gun had found
    a better target.

Chuck Norris would have taught the recruit how to use his rifle, then instructed said recruit on the care of his weapon, policed the used brass from the area, driven himself to the hospital after stopping to change his uniform and have a beer with boys.

Then he would have operated on himself....

I can barely get out of bed in the morning and he's doing pushups two days after being shot?

    How amusing.

    At the least
    .

When you show President Obama the respect -
    at the least
    - he deserves for having been elected by a majority of the voters of the United States of America you will have the right to suggest what...
    at the least
    - anyone else deserves.

Try comparing the medals earned by...say Eisenhower - to the number of medals McC and other army guys wear today. Not far at all from the
Third World AH toy soldier that issues himself citations and medals
Today they earn a medal for not soiling their pants it seems.

    At the least indeed.

    Take the insults elsewhere, ES.

Yep, I have four rows of awards for not soiling my pants.

    What ignorant rubbish.
