Yes, I was going to PM Catty1 if she didn't respond here.
Now she's just confusing me. Last night she was a mess and then this morning she was playing and running zoomies all over that end of the house. I heard her while I was in with Jax. That made me feel better. I guess nights are harder on her because the door has been left open (with the gates up) for most of the day. Where as it is closed all night so mornings are more relaxing.

Isabel, I have been giving her treats. The problem is she can only have about 3 or 4 of these treats or she will throw up. The first time I gave her some of them after Jax's arrival, she didn't touch them. Then I tried again later and she didn't touch them again. This morning I showed her where they were and she ate them. So progress is being made..........I think. I hope!

Thank you for the siggy, Michelle!

Bruce just took the dogs outside, I am at the computer and Jax's door is closed. Paizly was in here with me and she jumped down from the chair and I watched her walk out of the room. She was standing in the doorway, her tail twitching. Then she walked over by Jax's door and sniffed toward the bottom of the door. No hissing or growling. Usually if we have the baby gates up she hisses as she runs by even if Jax is not in sight.
Bruce was gone for a long period of time today. So I'm hoping maybe she ventured over to sniff around the closed door without any distractions from us or the dogs.

It is a teeny step of progress, but its progress!

ETA: I left the door to his room open while I took him to the vet so she could possibly go explore. I don't know if she did or not because Bruce and the dogs were outside the whole time.

Patience seems to be the key. I remember will Tigris' and Filou's introduction, they were both babies, 12 and 16 weeks old and it took them a week before they talked to each other.
So it sounds as if your plan works slowly slowly and I keep my paws crossed

    Thank you Barbara.
I was supposed to give Paizly another dose of Feliway on her collar last night and this morning, but it's too hard to do by myself (I don't like adding more stress to her). Even without it though she seems much more relaxed. Although, she is still not really going around the room. I also haven't seen her around when the gate is up and she can actually see into the room. But the fact that she seems more relaxed is a good thing.

You just wait! I will have cuddling cat pictures before you know it. And I'll wonder why I was ever worried about all this.

Paizly seems to be coming around. Tonight I was in with Jax and she actually came up to the gate to see him. Usually she'd run by hissing. She did hiss but not too much. She actually stayed there for quite a while and Jax stayed right by the gate looking at her.

This morning I went to pet her belly and she wasn't having it. But I played a little rough with her for a while. Then when I walked back through the room this is what I saw:

I gave her the kickaroo to distract her from my arm. And then she just layed there with her head on it.

I'm so glad to hear that she's finally coming around. She sure is a gorgeous cat. Curiosity will get the best of her. Just wait and see.

Aw, Paizly reminds me of my RB Peeka, not in looks but personality. She was furious when I added Pidgie to the family. She never did warm up to Pidge but eventually they learned to stay out of each other's way; this happened after I brought Creamsicle in. I have no idea why but she seemed to add some calm to the situation. It will get better and better every day. Keep the faythe.
    Blessings,
    Mary

    Thanks Tracey and Mary.
Well this morning she wanted to sit in the bathroom window again. One thing I'm noticing about her is her meow is much different now. I actually sat in the bathroom for a while to pet her when she'd let me. She lets me pet her but not like before. She used to rub her face all over mine. Hopefully she'll eventually get back to that.
But yes, she seems a little less upset about the whole situation. This morning she was sitting outside Jax's room and when I looked out at her she meowed at me. LOL I think this weekend we might try a brief introduction without a gate in the way. We will see!
