WHAT are the "TAGs" FOR ????
What purpose do they serve;
HOW do you use them ???

They exist so you can search using tags, and some websites use them to index pages. If you click on Search, you'll notice "tag search" is an option.

But you can only add tags when you start a thread, right?

No, you can add them at any time, it's always there.

Well Karen, I must have a blonde moment... I opened one of my older threads, but could not find a place to add a tag. There was an option to search a tag, though.
