Hey guys. My apologies for not checking in sooner. I've just been enjoying having Dasher home and have been babying him a lot. When I picked him up, the vet told me he was very happy about this operation. He said he thought it was the best one he'd ever done. And that he'd never heard a dog breathe so quietly after the operation Dasher has been given yet another chance at life. I think he's part cat. He seems really content and happy now. He hardly ever pants. He's even been leading me down the driveway and out in the street for walks. When he's better, I'm going to start taking him on short walks. Day before yesterday, we just laid in the grass, enjoying the sun and breeze. Was so peaceful. I took Dasher by today so they could see how well he was doing and to bring them a thank you card I made with his stamp. Next Tuesday he gets his stitches removed and can play again. Thanks for all your prayers and well wishes. Even though its been 3 1/2 years since I adopted Dasher, I feel its too soon for him to go. He deserves many more years of happiness. I'll do my best to make that happen.
The first pic is the night I brought him home. The second one is from today.

Can't figure out why they're not showing up. I'll attach them

I did the right thing by setting you free
But the pain is very deep.
If only I could turn back time, forever, you I'd keep.
    I miss you

I hear you whimper in your sleep
I gently pet you and say, no bad dreams
It will be alright, to my dog as dark as night.

Fur as dark as the night.
    Join me on this flight.
Paws of love that follow me.
In my heart you'll forever be.

How I wish I could hold you near.
Turn back time to make it so.
Hug you close and never let go.
