Cassie has a Catmobile request

Groucho called a little while ago. He said there will be a quick stop here at Risoldi's grocery store in Trenton. Our kitty crew has been following the tragic situation along the Gulf Coast. Groucho said they plan to pick up several bottles of Dawn dish soap then head down there to help give their fellow animals in need some nice warm baths in Dawn to clean the oil off of them.

For those of you who haven't seen the post in General, Dawn is very effective in cleaning animals caught in oil slicks AND they donate $1 to animal rescue for every bottle sold. I hope you'll consider this great product when shopping.

Momcat, if the kitties clear the supermarket shelves, I know the Brookhaven Fresh Market right by my house carries Dawn in blue, original scent and orange, which I think is citrus. I usually just get the blue. I could pick it up and have it ready if Catmobile is traveling to the Gulf Coast via the Midwest.

Kitties, that is a very nice thing you are doing before the Preakness. Lots of creatures depend on the Gulf Coast environment for their survival.

Hi Elyse, When our kiities are on the loose in the Catmobile there's no telling where they're heading. I'll send a text message (just as soon as I figure out how) to Groucho, Cassie, and Pinot to let them know they can get a back-up supply of Dawn from you.

Being an animal lover and a concerned environmentalist, I find the tragedy in the Gulf simply heart breaking. This is why I'm trying to get the word out that not only is Dawn an excellent product, but the $1 per bottle donation to wildlife rescue is admirable and deserves our support.

Hello Meowmies and Dads! We picked up all the Dawn (you may notice it missing) and swung down to the Gulf. Really a tragedy, trying to help, everyone doing what they can. This will be a quick stop; tomorrow we head up to the Preakness at my place. Mom reports everything's ready there for all the kitties, Dad made fresh crabcakes for when we get there, my rec room in the basement has been prepped! Report back soon....

Well all the kitties are here and they are having such a time! They went to the Hilltop Stakes at Pimlico today and cheered on the winner Joharmony. Pimlico, for the uninitiated purrents, is the home of the Preakness. It was another Pink day in honor of the breast cancer benefit on Black Eyed Susan Day at the track. The girls all looked lovely!
Some top contenders in the race that have been so wonderful to our kitties are Super Saver (Derby Winner), Paddy O'Prado and Lookin' at Lucky. They've been great hosts!
I'm sure the kitties will check in with their take on things, but I just wanted to make sure you all knew they arrived safely and were well fed!

Merlin just saw this thread.....I think he might be interested in the next adventure. He hasn't been with me a week and now he wants to pack and go on trip.
He's actually asked me for his own laptop so he can keep track of Pet Talk.

Hi Merlin, You'll be more than welcome to come along on the next Catmobile trip. Every kitty is welcome and they always have a super time. Plus there's a code the kitties strictly adhere to...what happens on the Catmobile stays on the Catmobile. I'll get a message to Groucho and Pinot so you can be picked up for the next part of the trip. Do you have a cell phone where they can contact you?
