Hair and Animal Fur Donated to Fight Oil Spill

I just e-mailed the NYTimes article to my hairdresser.. I'm about due for a haircut, anyway!

My local news was talking about this yesterday. A lady who owns a hair salon here has gathered hair from her salon as well as fur/hair from a dog grooming place across the street to ship south. What a neat idea. I ought to collect fur from my 4 cats, my moms 2 cats and 3 dogs, and my sisters 3 cats and 2 dogs to send down there. We have a mini zoo.

We're sending all the fur from my work there...making sure to only vacuum up fur with the shop vac and sending the bags of fur in. Should be at least one big garbage bag full per day.
