It makes me very sad that Butter hasn't showed up, yet. Logan, I know how heartbreaking it is, not knowing. I so hope he'll be out there and OK. Try to keep the faith, he will hopefully show up soon.

    (((hugs)))

Logan - this might be hard to do, but I did it years ago when a cat of mine went missing (I did find him, alive and well, trapped in a cottage basement - the cottage was for sale, had been shown to people, and he got in...I broke in through the basement!).

I called the highways/roads people to ask if they had found a dead cat. I was at the point I just wanted an answer.

HUGS and I hope you have news soon - and good news.

Dr. R and I were talking about it this morning when I had Honey at the vet and he said it is so common for a cat like Butter to choose to go off alone when they become old and/or sick
Given his age I guess that this is a possibility but it will have been his choosing and that is a good sign that he was at peace with the decision. He also knows how much he is loved.

I still hope Butter is around and comes home. An open end would be so hard to bear. One wants to know- one way or another.
