    Hi there cutie Elvira! Happy Pet of the Day to you sweetie! Oh! How precious are you, little one! I'm not sure we've ever had a chippy as our Pet of the Day! I can only imagine how special it is for your mom to have you trust her so, coming up for a cuddle, and a bit to eat...from her hand! You really have the best of both worlds, Elvira; a fun life out in the wild, scampering all about, collecting nuts! AND, a caring human to share some love and food with! How lucky she is to have such a special buddy in you!

    She lives in a hole in the ground all year around. We are always happy to see her when she comes up after her winter's nap, and greets us with the cheery chattering
    I can only imagine the joy, the smiles on your mom and dad's face, that first meeting after your long winter's nap! (Bet you're already up, getting ready for your fun summer!

    What an interesting experience to befriend a chipmunk and I'd love to have a trusting relationship with the 'munks that inhabit my yard, but they all scurry from people. What do you recommend I do to earn their trust, darling Elvira? Hope your hibernation was restful and you are enjoying the company and tidbits offered by your family, sweet girl.
