Apologies that I've seen this quite late, Alyssa. I'm very sorry to hear about little Shelly's passing. How wonderful that she had such a good life with a loving owner, may she RIP.

I had 2 hermit crabs when I was 6. One named Polka-dot and one named Texas. I loved them and played with them *all* of the time. One night I said good-night to them... and my parents realized that they were dead. They didn't tell me though... until the next morning. They wanted me to be able to sleep. But, I finally found out. It was sad. But, it probably had something to do with the fact that i never fed *or* watered it. lol...

Alyssa, I am also just seeing this thread. I'm so sorry about Shelly. And she died on my birthday.
