I recieved a boomerang for one of my birthdays at around age 10. We lived next to a vacant wooded lot that was very dense with under growth. I got to throw my boomerang one time and the vacant lot swallowed it up not to be seen again. I guess I was just not destined to be an Aussie. (Side note) I did almost move to Australia years later but that is another story.
