Thank you all so very much for the birthday greetings. It has been a delightful day - even the weather cooperated
Spent the morning in the school library adding books to the inventory. I love this volunteer position - look forward to going every Monday and Tuesday.
Then Douglas and I went to the Verizon store and bought new cell phones. Mine was still fine, but his was dying on the vine. Then again, he uses his way more than I do. From there to the car wash - living on a dirt road should be forbidden for those with dark colored cars.
Next to our favorite restaurant for mid-afternoon lunch/early dinner. Block Island Swordfish for me
The best part came after we got home. I called the Humane Society to check on the status of a stray cat we took in recently - and he was leaving for his new home when I called. The story is here.
Presents? Douglas gave me $$$ so I can go to Monahan's Fish Market on Friday to get real, New England Lobster Salad and Little Necks. My son gave a generous donation to our Humane Society - just as I wanted. And the black cat got a home.
March Madness starts tonight with the play-in game. All is right in my world for now
