Gary, have you tried giving him smaller portions in a shallow bowl, that might work.

P.S. from Cassie: Joseph, please have your dad ask the veterinarian if you may have baby food chicken puree. Our vet said only in small amounts, about a tablespoon at a time, because it can sometimes be constipating to a kitty. I have found that it makes her stools softer (looser), though. But it might be easy on the mouth for you. PURRRRRRRR
