Greeting from Down Under in Aussie!

Beautiful photos and beautiful kitties - but did you know that when cats spend their time seeking water it is usually an indication they are getting far too much salt in their diet, and this in turn can cause urinary tract infections especially in male cats. The salt causes chrystalisation of their urine, and male cats have very thin urethra's and eventually blockages can occur making it very painful for them to urinate etc.

The cat species need very little water in their diet unlike dogs, and I've noticed so many photos of cats drinking water from fawcetts on CAT OF THE DAY which may look fun, but it can be an indication of impending illness.

Having said that, I do hope I am wrong, and your cats live a long healthy life, but just take notice to see what they are eating, and try to feed always fresh meats like, chicken, rabbit etc. Far healthier for this species.

Best Wishes,

Sue
