It's so sad to hear that you and your brother had a rough start in life, but it sounds as if your human has more than made up for it with all the love and attention you have showered upon you!

What a head-turner you are, gorgeous Raglan! I used to have a black guy like you named Joshua, several decades ago. Seeing your picture made me recall how Joshua used to sit by the table at dinnertime and belch as we were eating! I also can remember him stretching out and peeing like a racehorse on my shag (remember, this was back in the seventies when shag was still in vogue) carpet. Grooming took forever, but he was worth it, just as you are!

You and Xavier finally can enjoy a wonderful home with loving, caring guardians and I hope you have a superlative POTD celebration with your family!

I'm glad I don't have to look after your gorgeous coat, but it sure is pretty to look at. After that awful beginning, you deserve a life full of treats and rides and lying around on the couch. Raglan and Xavier, I've sure enjoyed meeting both of you today! I don't know anything about the afghan hound so I liked reading about how you can bounce! Happy Dog of Day to you, beautiful Raglan and Xavier! What a wonderfully inspiring "happy ending" story of rescue is yours! You two are simply precious (love the hair bling, hehe)! And after a very tough, unspeakably sad start in life, you're finally living the life you both so richly deserve! As your Mom says, the ability of our canine bes friends to rebound, to learn to love and trust again after being subjectd to such horrific abuse is an inspiration to us all. Many thanks to your rescue group, and to your forever family, for welcoming not just one but two such deservering doggies into their home and hearts!
