It's so sad to hear that you and your brother had a rough start in life, but it sounds as if your human has more than made up for it with all the love and attention you have showered upon you!

What a head-turner you are, gorgeous Raglan! I used to have a black guy like you named Joshua, several decades ago. Seeing your picture made me recall how Joshua used to sit by the table at dinnertime and belch as we were eating! I also can remember him stretching out and peeing like a racehorse on my shag (remember, this was back in the seventies when shag was still in vogue) carpet. Grooming took forever, but he was worth it, just as you are!

You and Xavier finally can enjoy a wonderful home with loving, caring guardians and I hope you have a superlative POTD celebration with your family!

And after a very tough, unspeakably sad start in life, you're finally living the life you both so richly deserve! As your Mom says, the ability of our canine bes friends to rebound, to learn to love and trust again after being subjectd to such horrific abuse is an inspiration to us all. Thank you all for your nice posts about my boy, Raglan! He has come a long way since I wrote his story. Now, instead of laying back on "his" couch in the sunroom most of the time, he is out in the rest of the house with the family. He wags his tail constantly and is so very happy all the time. Thank God for the rescue groups who work so hard and tirelessly to save the abused and neglected souls such as Raglan. Thank you all again! I enjoyed seeing photos of your dogs too in your posts. Beautiful
