I see nothing wrong with collecting something you have passion for. If you learn something about history and geography in the process even better!
We need more pics though![]()

Thats what I reckon.
I was warned in the beginning tho, that collecting militaria can get quite addictive (and expensive)....I found that out quick smart....LOLOLOL.
But collecting stuff has always been a bit of a passion of mine. Since the 1960's my main passion was collecting fossils, but since living in the New England area of NSW (which is is gigantic granite/basalt volcanic intrusion), I have to travel very far before I can find anything at all.
I do take a look at the fossils on eBay from time to time, but have never bought one, as I'd rather dig them myself, the thrill of revealing them to the sunlight after millions of years being buried is a real blast.
I'll post some pics of the militaria I've won, and you can take a look at it.
Praying for peace in the Middle East, Ukraine, and around the world.
I've been Boo'd ... right off the stage!
Aaahh, I have been defrosted! Thank you, Bonny and Asiel!
Brrrr, I've been Frosted! Thank you, Asiel and Pomtzu!

Well here's a few items I have won recently. I'll have to get some pics of the stuff I already have, and get my photobucket account livened back up.
So for now, I'll just give you the links to the eBay pages.
This one arrived in the post today, and it's a real gem of an item.......

This is a Queens West Surrey helmet plate centre, these were used in the late 1800's in India and the Boer War. I haven't paid for this one yet, as I deal with this seller a lot, and generally get about 5 or 6 items a time from him, as postage is quite expensive.

Another item from the same seller.......a WW1 item.

I won this one yesterday........an East Surrey Shoulder Title.........

These I have won previously, and already they have arrived.....

"I'm Back !!"
Wom, is John O'Grady still Irish, or did he settle in Australia after deciding this?
I meant," said Ipslore bitterly, "what is there in this world that truly makes living worthwhile?"
Death thought about it.
CATS, he said eventually. CATS ARE NICE.
