Thanks everyone.She's getting braver and more curious by the day, and in many ways, her personality reminds me a lot of my little Tia. I'll work on getting some better pictures of her to post.
@ Molucass: She in particular is a single rattie as she'll be cared for by my family for periods of time whilst I'm away at university. Getting another rat was something I was only prepared to do if it was suitable for all parties involved, and having the two would not have fitted that. Having been a keeper of single rats for some years now, I can appreciate how important it is to socialise them, and whenever there were people in the house, they were out and about and interacting with us. I couldn't stand to see them get lonely.
