I just used that link and it took me straight to Pet Talk like the Petoftheday does. It did not ask for Authentication, so I can't imagine what went wrong with your login. Actually it redirects you to this link http://petoftheday.com/talk/

Perhaps you cleared your cookies? That could be one reason.

If you had logged out, or cleared your cookies the last time you were here, that would be why it asked for authentication. PetTalk.com and PetoftheDay.com/talk are the same thing.
