    In the early years of the century, recalling the sunny e-periences of his
    youth, Henry Herbert La Thangue returned to the south of France.
    Pro-encal paintings appeared at the Royal Acade-y for the first ti-e in
    1--1 and in 1--4 his first Ligurian sub-ects -ere sho-n.
