As a long time volunteer of 4 cat shelters, I appreciate you saying that you can get wonderful cats at shelters. People need to know that when someone decides to dump (yes, dump) their cat(s), they don't care if the cat is purebred or whatever - they just don't want them anymore (for whatever reason, usually selfish ones). So yes, you can get all sorts of beautiful, friendly, loving, healthy cats at shelters across the world and beleive me, your cat will appreciate your kind act and love you for it for many years to come (and so will the volunteers and employees at the shelter, whose hearts are broken when they are full and have to turn people away, or when cats die because they have been abandoned without a vet file (usually the case), etc.). Thanks to everyone who rescues!

I also think you may have some Himalayan in you. We adopted Willow and Willy -- siblings -- from a rescue. Willy was listed as a Siamese mix. Willow was listed as a Himalyan mix. I can see a lot of Willow in you. We call her Princess Fluffy Pants
