    Thank you, Tracey!
It is intermittently hard and easy to photograph the kitties. But Philly is my hardest being SO black in all the areas that usually show during photo shoots!
I try to use the days when I have a lot of natural sun light coming in my front rooms or my back porch in warm weather (enclosed porch kind of like a Florida room albeit a very old and in-need-of-repair porch!)

Aw, Molly, the cat track is too easy, the kitty tunnel is too easy, so put them together for a challenge! silly gal, I just love that shot.

You have some lovely portraits in this grouping as well, Piper gazing at the ceiling gremlins, lol.

Sisters Molly and Kit; how old are they, they seem to still get along? I've read (and do not believe it!) that litter mates fight as they grow up. There is one rescue in my area which will NOT adopt out litter mates together! BTW I have siblings Tommy and Tuppence, they do not fight.

Thaks for sharing your babies with us!

Ooooo! I LOVE ALL your babies! I'd see one pic and say "this is my favorite" scroll down and say it again and did that through all of them. You take wonderful pics of the fur kids...

Yep, you and they are keepers.. We're gonna keep you here! You are NOT allowed to leave Pet Talk! LOL!

    Hi Freedom,

Thank you for the compliments on my photos.
I guess I should've mentioned in my initial post that my girls all have their own webpages of photos!

I do believe you replied to my post about how I had to rehome our Tiger Lily who had been chosen COTD in May '09 which initially brought me to this site, but then all the emotions of rehoming her and the busy Holiday season distracted me from the forum....Molly's "wild" side is coming out now that the tension Tiger Lily's presence caused. And here I thought Tiger Lily and myself were the only 2 stressing! Molly has been super playful and more affectionate with me AND my husband lately. We're relishing the change!

Kit and Molly will be 3 years old in February. They were born to a feral on the property of one of my vets' clients. My vet and the employees there are all pretty much into rescue and fostering. They have a small section of cages in the lobby where they sometimes have kittens up for adoption. Kit & Molly's litter was one available after we lost our Jack Russell Terrier to old age in '07. I had been in to pick up Aggie's ashes early April and there were 3 cages full of kittens at that time. When my husband and I were ready, we went up a few weeks later and only Kit & Molly were left in their litter and 2 beautiful mostly white with orange kittens in another cage. The white w/orange kittens were FIV positive and having a cat at home already(Philly), we didn't feel confident about adopting them. My husband was insisting only one, I was good, I kept my mouth shut. I let the tech's do the talking for me and we ended up coming home with both sisters. My husband had initially picked Kit. I was letting him do the choosing.

They have ALWAYS gotten along. Since maturing, they don't snuggle as much as they did at first, but they still get along just fine. Their personalities are very different, and things changed as they matured. As kittens, Molly was the bolder one. Now, Molly is more demure and "proper", Kit is the big flirt. Although Molly seems to be changing some, seems a lot more relaxed now. You can probably note in the photos that Molly has one bad eye...she had an injury to it already when she was brought in to my vets to the adoption area. It doesn't seem to bother her and she does have some sight in it.

Kit is like a second mother to Piper, who is Tiger Lily's daughter. Kit will groom Piper's head and snuggle with her as well as play with her.

Philly gets along with all the cats pretty well, but Kit is the only one she'll really play with. That's partly because, as a kitten, Kit looked like she idolized Philly. She followed her around chattering at her until Philly finally caved, LOL!

    Thanks, Laura.

Don't worry, at present, I have plenty of time to be on the computer...too much, probably! I used to watch lots of tv especially at night, now I'd rather at least type back & forth to real people at the computer! I hate telephones so am not one to be on the phone all the time.

    Thank you for the compliments.

I do a lot of novice photography work. I recently signed up to ViewBug where all sorts of photographers post their photos and we can comment back and forth. The camera is like an extra appendage on my body! I have a web site where I put some of my best photos, and all my web pages are mainly photos of myself, my life, the cats. I think my HomePage is linked to in my profile and from it you can link to my other pages.

All your cats are precious but Kit stole my heart b/c she resembles my RB tuxie Peeka so much w/that half moustache. Peeka's was on the opposite side, though. We almost named her Charlie (Chaplin) b/c of it. Love the pic of Kit all sprawled out, too. Great pix; I wish my Fur Posse would stay still long enough so that I could get good pix.
    Blessings,

Hi Mary, Thanks for the compliments.
Kit is actually named because of that mustache. Her litter was dubbed "the German litter" at the adoption center at my vets, they all had German names. She got Kitler because of the Hitler-ish mustache. My husband liked that name so we kept it since Kit was his choice, but we choose to shorten it to Kit most the time. Her sister, Molly, was being called Puss-oulini, which we didn't like so we changed her name to Molly...with her help, of course. I never just throw a name on a pet.

There is a whole web site devoted to kitties with that kind of mustache! Kit's pic needs to go into the "purrno" thread! What a flirt she is.
