This thread may be moved to the kitty memorial section now. Mitzi purred her last purr in my arms a little before 5:00 p,.m. tonight. Her passing was peaceful. I'm very sad, but know I did the right thing. She sent me a message that Mishi greeted her at the Bridge and that she is all right and out of pain now.

I am so sorry- these days you can hardly keep up with the sweet kitties who leave us for that other world.
The only comfort is in that they are out of pain now- but we aren't.

I'm so sorry for your loss. Mitzi was such a beauty. I'm glad she whispered to you from the Bridge, and I hope she and Mishi are having a romp right now.

    RIP, lovely Mitzi.

    RIP Mitzi

    Hugs to you Georgia.
Our goal in life should be - to be as good a person as our dog thinks we are.

Thank you for the siggy, Michelle!

    So true!

I'm very sorry! There may be some comfort in the thought that she's with Mishi now, but she'll be terribly missed here on earth!

    R.I.P. sweet Mitzi!

I thought of you and mitzi all day yesterday, knowing your time together was to end so soon. I am so sorry she is gone. Knowing you did the right thing with your head is good, may your heart follow. Be comforted with her memory. Be gentle with yourself these next few weeks. RIP sweet Mitzi.

I am so very sorry to read about dear Mitzi. My deepest condolences to you.

Rest in peace, beloved little girl.

My eyes are leaky, very leaky. It's been my observation that even though we know when the time is coming, it doesn't make it any easier. It's so hard to be petless and RedHedd I know that you feel empty inside but like me, hopefully one day that special kitty will find you and you will welcomed to love again.

Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, champagne in one hand and strawberries in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and screaming WOO HOO - What a Ride!

I got the call that Mitzi's ashes are back. Unfortunately, because my boss is being an insensitive tool this week, I ended up having to work late and did not get the message until way after the vet's office closed. I'm so sad my little girl has to be away from me at least one more night.

I miss her so much; my house and heart feel SO empty. I have been checking Craigslist for kitties in my area.

Because technically the landlord does not allow pets (the building manager has imposed a don't ask-don't tell policy - most of us DO have cats), I can't go through the SPCA or other agencies that ask for the landlord's permission to adopt a cat to me, so I have to go stealth - which is how I got Goldie, Mitzi and Mishi and my next fur baby.

So, if anyone hears of a kitty in need in the San Francisco Bay Area, please let me know. I can't be fur-less forever and I know Mitzi will send the right kitty my way.
