Don't forget, though, besides National parks, there are great spots normally right in your own backyard!
(And those spots are one of the reasons our backyard is where it is!)

While I was in school in upstate New York I used to go to the Saratoga Battlefield. (Not sure if it's a national park per se.) It's hard to believe that such an unspoiled looking place was the site of battles during the American Revolution!

We visited Zion Canyon National Park, which Wolfsoul has taken gorgeous pictures of, quite by accident, on the way to the Grand Canyon. It was a stunning surprise!
We have many state parks near us, some teensy on the Boston waterfront, and bigger ones. I have never been to the Cape Cod National Seashore, but Paul has.

My favorite National Historic Park is Chaco Canyon NM
And the one I still hope to see one day is Yellowstone.
But whatever US NP I have seen - they were all gorgeous![]()
