I'm sorry to hear about Blackey. He sounds like he was a wonderful loving cat. I had a black cat named Pepper and he became very ill and I had to put him down when he was almost 6 years old so I feel your pain. Usually indoor only cats live to at least 10 years old or much longer. I'm sure that Blackey knows how much you loved him and he'll live in your heart forever. RIP sweet boy.
