Without doubt Sandy was my heart dog and after 60 years I still remember him with love. When I was Nine my parents bought me Sandy a big Chow with a look that would scare most. We bonded immediately and were inseparable. I guess the fact that we were so close made Sandy very protective of me. Back then the small area I lived in had a 4 room school house with 8 grades. I walked to school so naturally Sandy would follow me right into class. After a few protective episodes with teachers, the school demanded we make a change. My parents solution was to give my dog away. The new owners had him fenced but he jumped the fence and came 10 miles back home. This happen 3 more times with fence and ropes before he ended up about 40 miles away on the other side of the city. He escaped there also but never made it back Home. I felt he must have been killed or he would have made it Home again. This was a real trauma to a nine year old and i guess i never forgave my parents for giving my heart dog away.

My heart dog was my rb Doberman Blue. Me and that dog had a special bond I will never forget. As far as cats...I'm not sure if Remus or Hoodini fills that role. They both are special to me but in different ways.

Dogger number 1 is Elvis (er Elvie man). I cannot explain it he is my big boy, he is definitely my dog and i am his human, nothing will ever change that .

And coming in equal 1st is my little scruff head Harri. This little dog knows how to have fun, he is my little wing man (comes everywhere possible with me). He has me sold on JRTs and i wont ever be without one of the little scruffers.

And i am a little embassed to admit this. There is a little Yabbie (Jasper) in my life that i have been raising since he was the size of a grain of rice. I am terribly attached to him (or possibly her lol).He is now about 5 CMs long and is growing quite fast, he would be around 7 months old now.

I love the doggie girls more than life, but the boys are different. And i don't think i have met my 'heart' cat yet.

I'm still thinking about this question from Wednesday. I'd have to say that each of the cats in my life has a part of my heart. My sister's cats Poco and Jasmine ... they stayed at our house part of the summer before I left for college. I was taking a summer school course at the community college to free up credit hours. When I'd get home from school, I'd open the book to study and Jasmine would be right there on my lap, purring and helping me study. Poco allowed me to hug, snuggle and love on him every time I was at their house for close to 20 years. My nephew's cat Churchill, who died because of contaminated cat food - a bundle of love in a tabby coat. And their current cat, Milo - a plush orange snuggle boy. And of course, Cassie Cat, who spent most of the afternoon napping in the sun.
Praying for peace in the Middle East, Ukraine, and around the world.

I've been Boo'd ... right off the stage!

Aaahh, I have been defrosted! Thank you, Bonny and Asiel!
Brrrr, I've been Frosted! Thank you, Asiel and Pomtzu!

"That's the power of kittens (and puppies too, of course): They can reduce us to quivering masses of Jell-O in about two seconds flat and make us like it. Good thing they don't have opposable thumbs or they'd surely have taken over the world by now." -- Paul Lukas

    That's easy for me.
    My very 1st own dog.
Their was a free add for 6 wk old lab/GSD mix puppies in the daily paper.
My mom and I went to see the puppies. The one puppy that came up to me to play is the one I chose.
From the 1st day she became my soul mate.
We went everywhere together. I do not think I will ever own a dog that meant so much and so special to me as her.
