Catty1,
She slept by my side all night. She's doing much better. After looking at the vet records, and noticing that she had 3 different injections the day I picked her up, I attribute her actions to that.
I gave her her first dose of meds and she took it well. I'm glad I'll be home all week to keep an eye on her.
While working last night, I thought of calling the vet who owns the hospital and talking to him one on one, about the "incident" with the dogs a month ago and the possible "connection" with my cat's equilibrium problem. I wanted to ask him if he'd be willing to foot the bill for the MRI or CT scan to get to the bottom of her imbalance. But a very wise woman whom I adore, told me that I'd be cutting off my nose to spite my face. Not many vets allow you to make payments on bills (especially one like mine).
My biggest fear is that once the medicine is done, she'll go back to having equilibrium problems.
I also thought that maybe, just maybe, she has an inner ear infection from the URI she had back in September, causing her imbalance. Back then the vet did say she had alot of excess ear wax.
So I've decided that once the medicine is gone, I'm going to call and ask if I can keep her on the meds for one more month, just to be sure.
So, that's it, kiddos. I thank you so much for all your prayers and candles. I love you all very much!!
I can now breath a sigh of relief. *sigh*
