When I arrived home my husband was watching the game. I asked if he could see Edwina....she is wearing Philly colors!

Please make sure that, when on Ellis Island, Edwina checks out her great- grandpa's name on the wall....she knows where it is...

Don't worry friends. Eddie called Sparkler who called Edwina who called Cassie who called MooShoo who called Aroara who called Pinot. Eddie is safely with the Catmobile crew.

Groucho says that in spite of some wet weather they all are having a great time. During the game they were snug and dry in their skybox that even has closed circuit tv! Even though team loyalty came out it was all in fun plus there are a few "friendly wagers". Groucho said when they got to the stadium they were taken on a tour of the locker room then Monument Park. Word is there might be a trip to the Fulton Fish Market.

It seems Cassie and Sophie huddled with the very careful Catmobile driver for quite some time. Hmm.....

    Hi Purrents!
Your friend Groucho checking in. Everyone is fine and we're having an absolute blast here in the Bronx. What a game last night!!! We Yankees fans were very excited with the win. But we were even more excited about one of our fellow kitties, Sparkler caught a ball! You must have heard the cheers and applause we gave her. Before the game, the Yankees let us out on the field to run around the bases with them. What a treat! They learned a new technique for sliding on base from Sophie and Aroara plus MooShoo and Eddie shared a few tricks with Jorge Posada. Derek Jeter and Andy Petit had us entertained with their baseball stories. Then a big surprise, Joe Girardi treated all of us to a seafood feast at the Southstreet Seaport. Yummy

On to Philadelphia in the morning and there will be many napping kitties as the Catmobile cruises down the New Jersey Turnpike. After cheesesteaks at Penns Landing it's off to Independence Hall and the Liberty Bell. Pinot got word that we'll be having a guided tour by Ben Franklin himself. From there to the stadium for game 3.

Cassie, Sophie, and Sparkler had another private conference with the Catmobile driver. Afterwards Sparkler and Eddie talked privately in a corner. None of us knows what's going on but Sophie borrowed Edwina's cell phone.

    Stay tuned for updates.....

    Your friend,
    Groucho

That explains so much! I wondered why Aroara kept sliding across the kitchen floor, coming to a stop in front of her food bowl!

    Thanks for the update, Groucho.

Time helps the sadness subside, but the memories remain forever.

Anyone heard from the kitties? They've been awfully quiet today...I know it was a travel day, but still, nothing? It's a little spooky!!!

There's a rain delay for tonight's game. No word yet on when it might start or if the game will even happen.

Pinot checking in...we're warm and dry at the Omni in Philly. Thank goodness Groucho got us private boxes for these games-the weather is yucky! We've had a great time here, and the food at the stadium!! Yum!! We had crab fries, cheesesteaks, hoagies, all really good stuff!! We've seen the Liberty Bell and Independence Hall, we're still set to go to the Italian Market and maybe Franklin Square.

Just letting everyone know we're OK and having fun...still don't know what Cassie and Sparkler are up to. Phillies need a win!!

Hi Sophie! I'm so happy to know that you're having such a great time on your first Catmobile trip! Of course you already know what happens in the Catmobile stays in the Catmobile! Or so I've been told by Groucho and the other kitties.

For the Catmobile kitties checking your e-mail, here's something you need to remember. Last year in Philadelphia a poor puppy dog was tortured and burned. Poor puppy was in pretty bad shape when he got to the emergency vet. Chase Utley of the Phillies stepped up and paid for all the vet expenses the puppy dog needed to get better. If you get a chance to meet him, be sure to give him lots and lots of kitty kisses to thank him for helping a puppy dog in need. That was a wonderful thing for him to do.

On behalf of Yankees fans everywhere Sophie, welcome to our ranks! We're very happy to have you with us! Enjoy the rest of the trip!
