From the Puppy Food Recall notice by Nutro:

"Upon discovery of the melted plastic, we immediately halted manufacturing
and performed a thorough search of all equipment. We identified the source
as a worker’s “bump cap,” similar to a hard hat,
which inadvertently made its way into our manufacturing process... "

OMG!
Do they know how ridiculous that sounds??

HOW could a "worker" LOOSE his hard-hat, from his HEAD, into a vat of
FOOD and not "notice" that it was missing?

And WHAT kind of "training" to they get for Quality Assurance and Product Safety?

I'd think that dropping a hard-hat into a cooking vat *OUGHT* to register
in the "worker's" alleged "mind" as an Uhhhh-Ohhhhhh-Oooopsie! and
and initiate an immediate shut-down of the production line.

Instead, they wait several weeks for an audit to "discover" plastic bits in the
finished food which is by now in the bowls of our Pets.

What's Wrong with this picture?
