Dude,

I already have a plan in mind and soon I will be posting a thread where people can pick the colors and other 'options'.

Today was a pretty fun day.

Here at the end of it all?The Dodgers win and I make a drink and I made a little fire outdoors and was soon entertained beyond all sense of 'Cat Ownership". There's still enough Summer in the Air to enjoy the early evening and not have to worry about a sweater.

Next door, I hear kids playing in a bounce/jumper thing that you can rent for parties. A few doors down on the other street there is a band playing.

It's in Espanol and I can't make out the words, but it's woman and a man singing and they are really good.

I turn around and there are three kittehs sitting at the outer edge of the fire's glow. No sooner than I turn my back, there's one of the cats sitting about 5 feet away from the, taking in the warmth. I covered the fire and had to spritz the area to chase the little AH away!

Oh, just before that? I watched one of them dig a hole dead ahead of the trash can I put there, take a dump, then spend about 3 minutes trying to bury the "offense".

Everyone was fed earlier, the kittehs-who were somewhat intolerant of my effing oafishness before - now run far enough away from me to make me feel monstorous, but stop to listen to me talk to them and to laugh at my demands for an audience.

I just want to scritch them.

I'm tired and the last week was a kind of a downer, but dang, living with cats, in the Hotel Cat-lifornia has gotta be the best thing on the planet.

I am a little late seeing this thread.

Your family has grown considerably since the last time I checked in - instant family - sort of like the octomom.

Aren't you the clever one with your carpentry skills! I am smiling because the top of anything (even a nicely constructed kitty condo with a cozy interior) is so appealing. Great pics and story Richard! I will stay tuned. What does Eddie think?

Hokay,

I have to confess something.
Ed loves it. When the kittehs go running late at night, Ed notices the motion detector lights going on and off. He darts to all the windows to see where they are..

I have to be careful that he does not run out the door when I come back in
from walking around outdoors, so I do a little peek inthru the window and use my feet, legs to block any attempt of escape when I open up.

Two days ago I lit a little fire and had an old fire place poker in my hand-just to move the few pieces of wood around. I wanted to get my water bottle from the kitchen.

Ed was at the door, so I opened it up and used the poker to block is progress.

What do you get when you 'poke' a white cat with a sooty fire place poker?

A laugh a minute?

I tried to wipe it off, but made it worse......he still has a splotch of black on his face.

I start to laugh every time I look at him.

(I didn't poke him-I used the poker as a blocker...)

iwish I had some carpentry skills Richard and had a way of getting the raw materials home. I could build a Found Cat Porchie Retreat so noone got cold during the Long Winter Months!

I wish I had a two story retreat like that.
Maybe my contractor neighbor can build something like that!
