Boxer owner ordered to stand trial on animal cruelty charges

How did a guy in a wheelchair come to own a boxer, which is a very high energy breed? They require training and a lot of exercise...something that I don't think a disabled person can provide. This isn't meant to be discriminitory but I don't think it was at all fair for the dog to be adopted by this person. I think some punishment to the people that let the dog be adopted (or sold) is in order. Sad sad sad. RIP poor doggie.

Maybe he had the dog before he lost his leg? Since it was only 9 months old, that seems likely. Whoever let him have the dog should have realized that the man would have an H of a time training the pup.
