And the race started out so good....
At least Denny and Ryan came home with top 10's(and yes, Kyle too!)

A good story for the Kahne crew.
At least my fantasy team had a good day.
I know, not a bad night for us.
Too bad Tony had problems again.

Hated that Kasey had problems.

If Martin keeps running like this he may
just take the win this year.

I cant get into paved auto racing on the TV, even most dirt tracks dont do it for me. IF Im there live I can get into it.
If I could get the King of the Hammers (the trailer for the KOH 2009 DVD is here but there is at least one F bomb), Vegas to Reno , WEROCK, Reno Rocks, Paris Drakar Rally, or the Ladago Trophy on TV Ild be glued to the set.
ETA: I forgot to mention the Gumball Rally, yes its on mostly paved roads but its the insanely rich AHs that run this make it entertaining for me.
If I can get my business off the ground maybe Ill be able to afford 2 lines to the house for DSL and I can get good online coverage for the off road events from Pirate4x4.com.

I am truly being good and polite. I loved the race results from yesterday.
You can use Truck Race Jesus or Trucker Jesus.
I just don't know what he thinks about sports utility vehicles?!?!?!?![]()
I greatly admire the amount of fabrication and engineering that goes into building a NASCAR car, but that is all dialed in and allmost a science now.
Building a KOH car/buggy for a sport that has only had two official events, or building a Ladoga car (I have no idea how old the Ladoga Trophy is but Ill bet it isnt as old as NASCAR), these arent dialed in cars for a specific set race track.
I can understand how yall can get behind a certain driver for their skill with a car that is allmost exactly like their competitors, heck I admire the skills of the NASCAR driver that comes in last every time.
I get so much more out of the new offroad racing because none of the cars/buggys are the same. In some cases I get to see the build ups of indevidual buggys long before the race happens.
Im not trying to offend NASCAR fans because I admire the skills of the drivers, fabricators, and the pit crews.
If in NASCAR rubbing is racing, in KOH they dont rub, they will drive right over your car if they cant ram it out of the way.
ETA: If I can afford to, I will be on the lake bed for the King of the Hammers 2010.
How many drivers in NASCAR are women?
no women full-time in the top 3 levels at the moment, but there are a few that make the occasional appearance. Probably some more in the touring series

You obviously have not followed Nascar very closely or you would not make the statement about being dialed in. I think every Cup driver and crew chief would tell you up front that nothing is dialed in. These crews make changes from start of race to the end trying to get their car "dialed in". Most never do. Track conditions change over the course of the race and so does their setup.I greatly admire the amount of fabrication and engineering that goes into building a NASCAR car, but that is all dialed in and allmost a science now.

There are tracks that rubbing is all that the cars can stand without major damage. There are tracks like Talledega and Martinsville where ramming is just a part of racing. If in NASCAR rubbing is racing, in KOH they dont rub, they will drive right over your car if they cant ram it out of the way.
Rumor has it that Danica Patrick is actively trying to get a ride with Penske racing probably on a limited basis for 2010.
I was reading in the NASCAR Scene rag that DP will run a few races at the end of the season. Tony Stewart has been talking to her and he hinted at her taking the wheel soon.
Kyle Busch fans....
A question?
Do you think that if KB kept his schedule to the Nationwide and Sprint series he would have a better chance of winning the Sprint Cup?
The dude can drive-but I think that since he drives all three series that he doesn't focus on the 'prize'.
I am not a KB fan, but seeing him spread his weekends out make me wonder about what he could do if he was 'dedicated' to racing Cup and just a few races in the NWS.....
I wonder what the numbers look like when he does one or two races a weekend as opposed to 3?
wow!
Ride 'em, Cowboy!!

What a wild ride! So glad Joey was okay!!
Internersting stats for the week...no driver that has won Dover has won the championship....
No driver thathas been leading the points after Dover has won the championship....
I have to hold on to the little things!
Didn't agree with the call for Tony to pit onthe last caution...I think he would have finished better if he hadn't...but Top 10 runs for both SHR cars. I'll take it.
whew!.... Crazy Old Man still hanging in there![]()
