You definately should check to see if it is blind or deaf. Those kind of babies always need special attention.
It may also, just be an odd bird. Many years ago, we got to help a couple of our kitties give birth around the same time. The moms were tame, and the babies were handled from day one. Both of the kittens were *extremely* wild around us. When we got them both neutered, one calmed down, the other got wilder. All we could figure is that he may have been some kind of throw-back; his mom was rescued as a kitten from our feral community. We ended up releasing the wild one into our local feral community because being a house cat was too much for him.
I hope you baby is just temporarily scared.
Too many pets? What's that?
freckledimple is right 2 of ours, Dobe is almost completly blind and Precious is deaf, both girls will hiss at almost any thing this passes them. Both are real lovers Precious for me and Dobe is my wifes lover. So a good vet check might be in order.
GILL & Crew;
Yes, I concur w/freckledimple and Gill. My Coco Puff went deaf temporarily; he has regained most of his hearing but he went from being a fearless cat to getting so spooked that he wouldn't let me near him. When he finally became a little adventurous, he parked himself in the middle of the foyer so that (I think) he could see in all directions. If I or any of my Fur Posse came too close for comfort, he hissed and became agitated. Get your little baby to your vet. He could have ear mites that are causing deafness and that can be remedied. Or it could be an ear polyp. Or it may be something else entirely but until you have him checked out, you won't know. Prayers are going up that it's something simple that can be quickly taken care of. Please keep us posted and please....keep the faythe.![]()
Blessings,
Mary
