And the race started out so good....

At least Denny and Ryan came home with top 10's (and yes, Kyle too!)

A good story for the Kahne crew.

At least my fantasy team had a good day.

I know, not a bad night for us.
Too bad Tony had problems again.

I cant get into paved auto racing on the TV, even most dirt tracks dont do it for me. IF Im there live I can get into it.

If I could get the King of the Hammers (the trailer for the KOH 2009 DVD is here but there is at least one F bomb), Vegas to Reno , WEROCK, Reno Rocks, Paris Drakar Rally, or the Ladago Trophy on TV Ild be glued to the set.

ETA: I forgot to mention the Gumball Rally, yes its on mostly paved roads but its the insanely rich AHs that run this make it entertaining for me.

If I can get my business off the ground maybe Ill be able to afford 2 lines to the house for DSL and I can get good online coverage for the off road events from Pirate4x4.com.

I greatly admire the amount of fabrication and engineering that goes into building a NASCAR car, but that is all dialed in and allmost a science now.

Building a KOH car/buggy for a sport that has only had two official events, or building a Ladoga car (I have no idea how old the Ladoga Trophy is but Ill bet it isnt as old as NASCAR), these arent dialed in cars for a specific set race track.

I can understand how yall can get behind a certain driver for their skill with a car that is allmost exactly like their competitors, heck I admire the skills of the NASCAR driver that comes in last every time.

I get so much more out of the new offroad racing because none of the cars/buggys are the same. In some cases I get to see the build ups of indevidual buggys long before the race happens.

Im not trying to offend NASCAR fans because I admire the skills of the drivers, fabricators, and the pit crews.

If in NASCAR rubbing is racing, in KOH they dont rub, they will drive right over your car if they cant ram it out of the way.

ETA: If I can afford to, I will be on the lake bed for the King of the Hammers 2010.
