Mollie Rose is spending the night at the vet. She is dehydrated so they'll be doing sub Q fluids. They've sent blood work out so I won't know anything till tomorrow morning at nine. The vet said that since her last visit in October, 2008, she's lost 4 pounds. Not a good sign. He said she is not in any pain, but she is showing signs of renal failure. I asked him if it can be reversed if caught in time and he said no.

So, tonight I won't be getting much sleep. I usually sleep with MR every night "spooning" with her head resting in my hand. It just won't be the same.

I'll let you know what happens.

Oh no! I was hoping it wouldn't be this. I am so sorry. I will be hoping that it is NOT renal failure and it can be fixed with some simple meds.
Our goal in life should be - to be as good a person as our dog thinks we are.

I'm preparing for the worst. My Dad always told me to expect the worse so you won't be disappointed.

9 o'clock tomorrow morning can NOT come fast enough.

Oh, poor Mollie Rose, and you too. Prayers that the vet will help her get better and she will be with you for a long time to come.

Oh dear! I know the shock of these major problems that hit without warning. I sure hope that the test results tomorrow are more positive than you are thinking. I completely know that pit in your stomach feeling though. Hugs to you!!
