Thanks, Phred but ... what I'm wondering is if a local carrier would have samples that I could "try before I buy" to make sure she will eat it.
Tonya, I'm so sorry to hear that she's not eating very well.I know that you probably don't want to have to give her any more meds but you might want to ask your vet about giving her vitamin B-12 injections.
When my Ziggy stopped eating due to pancreatitis, the vet on call recommended that she get vitamin B-12 shots to help increase her appetite. They sure did work well. I didn't have to keep bringing her in for the shots because I was able to do them at home. I gave them once a week for about 6weeks. Now she's still doing well and has gained back all of the weight that she lost.
I sure hope that you'll be able to find something that she'll love to eat. I'll continue to keep you both in my thoughts and prayers. Please take care. (((HUGS)))
The vet called me yesterday afternoon to let me know that the additional testing on the urine came back and my poor Kissiekat has a pretty severe presence of Ecoli in her system. As the vet said, "she's really had the wind knocked out of her little body." So, it's another week of antibiotics just to make sure the infection gets wiped out...
On the flip side of this, she was acting (and eating!) better yesterday. I don't know what it was but last evening/night she looked awesome.![]()
This morning she wasn't as active but I think it's because she was cold. Hopefully as the day goes on, she'll perk up.
Tonya, have you tried giving her Royal Canin's Sensitive? It's for cats up to 10 years old, but Fister loves it. I give it as treats.
Sending lots of hungry thoughts that she'll start eating more - and kisses.![]()
