Dear Groucho,

Call me when you reach Illinois, and I'll be packed and ready. I'm quite familiar with Lexis, thanks to all the time I've spent supervising my meowmie's work. (Don't tell her, but I've memorized her password.) I'm sure meowmie won't miss her laptop if I borrow it for a few days.

It is such a relief to know that we have an experienced team working on Ruby and Vinnie's case. This is a terrible situation which cannot be allowed to persist.

I cannot say how Ruby and Vinnie managed to get in a Californian jail but after all it is better than anywhere elese as we have such good connections in the US.

I heard about big trouble in the prosecutor's office as some of the evidence was missing. Now see what I discovered on Filou's computer. (So your kitties don't have computers? - In Europe this is quite normal

)
Obviously one of his Californian friends ( I don't know why I think of Mango, maybe because he is so smart and thin) sneaked into the office of the district attorney and stole some evidence which in itself can only have been forgery:

I leave it to your fantasy what could have happened if such incriminating evidence had been in the prosecutor's hands

Not to worry Purrscutor! Offurcer Edwina has been called in to help solve this case!

Will she find the evidence to free Ruby and Vinnie......or will it be hard time for our Kiwi Friends!

Edwina! Who's side are you on??? Groucho, myself, Filou, Tigris and Gatsby are trying their darndest to get Ruby and Vinnie the freedom they deserve!! This is a conspiracy at the highest level (Cute hat, though)!! Explain yourself!!

Pinot called a little earlier to say they have arrived and everyone has been working non stop. Tigris is very happy because the food supply is in good shape.

Groucho called in shortly after that. He spent just about all afternoon with Vinnie and Ruby getting their story. They both are doing as well as can be expected and were thrilled when Groucho brought them some crab legs and fried chicken. Groucho is meeting with the prosecutor tomorrow morning primarily for discovery. At least for now Groucho says they can't tell us exactly where they are but he did say Vinnie and Ruby have been moved to a safer and more secure location.

Our legal eagle team will be burning the midnight oil going over evidence so they can start planning their strategy. One of his kitty lawyer friends is expected any time now to sit in on the meeting with the prosecutor. No decisions have been made because much more information is needed.

A question from Filou; does anyone know of any witnesses? He has been examining the pictures then mumbled something about Photoshop.

Cassie and I think that Ruby must have been added to the picture of the evidence by someone out to frame her. We are firmly convinced that she is NOT GUILTY! And Vinnie isn't either.
