Gosh, you made me go to the earthquake site to see what I had missed. However, as it was in Northern California, I didn't feel it.

Lut - yes, do you know that there are anywhere from 25 - 75 earthquakes A DAY in California.

Most of them are very small and no one even feels them. But this is clearly earthquake country.

When we had the large one here - a 6.7 - it scared my calico, Patches, so badly she just shook in fear. All I knew to do is just hold her and talk softly and reassure her. She never left my lap that day - and we had so many aftershocks.

Keep in mind that they will pick up on YOUR FEAR. I had to remind myself of that the morning we had the big one. It is just like having children - poor babies!

Having the carriers ready to go is not a bad idea.

This mornings earthquake was a 3.9 at about 7 AM.
